Decoupage portrait would be an original gift to your loved ones!

The idea decoupage portrait was born under time pressure. I needed urgently a portrait as a gift, and there was no time to paint it. This gave me the idea to experiment with photographs. These portraits can be done in various formats from the A-4 to A-2. Any favourite photograph is printed out on a printer, and then applied to the base of the canvas on cardboard as a decoupage card. Then you can make play with any image or motif using either the decoupage technique or drawing.

Subsequent portraits were technically improved. I used a variety of textures.

Advantages of decoupage portrait:

- speed of execution;

- rich technical solution - you can use any texture and even inlays;

- possibility to create a variety of images and styles;

- inexpensive;

- compared with print, has a rich texture, and also has a lively energy, because it is a handmade product.

Besides, it is possible to make even a group portrait by combining different photographs. This, of course, is more complicated work and runs longer than making a usual portrait from a photograph, but this is a wonderful way to make a family portrait, even if you do not have a joint family photograph!
